Hello! I’m Jaimie. Thanks for taking the time to learn a bit about me.

I’ve had my hands in many creative projects over the years, both personally and professionally. I started my career in corporate communications and then pivoted into freelance work after having children. My communications experience gradually expanded from copywriting and editing into digital marketing, including branding, newsletter campaigns, event and product photography, digital design for websites and social media, and public relations.

My personal work is concentrated in the visual arts. During the pandemic, I started oil painting and fell in love with the process. I am a figurative oil painter with a focus on portraits and domestic scenes from my life as a mother of three. My work is deeply influenced by interior design from the 1940s through the 1970s as well as analog graphic design. Two of my paintings were exhibited in the Made in VA exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art in 2022-2023. I’m currently learning how to make pottery, and hoping to add ceramics to my portfolio soon.

I like to say there’s a fine line between art and design, and I really enjoy playing around with both. I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, a tourist city sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay, with my three incredible children, two sorta-friendly cats and a goofy labradoodle.

The best way to get to know my work is to check out my portfolio of professional and personal projects.

Thanks for being here!
